Examination and X-Rays
We take our time to discuss your health problems and figure out if our office is the right place for your condition. If we do not think that we can help you, we will do our best to point you in the right direction. If we think that we can help, we will move on to a full examination and x-rays, if they are necessary. We have an x-ray machine in our office, so there is no need to refer you out and wait for radiology reports.
Based on our findings in the examination and on x-ray, we will outline a personalized treatment plan for your problem. We will outline specific therapies that we recommend, the number of visits needed, as well as outline at home exercises to help enhance your care. Although we will recommend a care plan, the decision is always yours on how you would like to proceed with your treatment.

Chiropractic Adjustments
The main treatment that we use in our office is the chiropractic adjustment. An adjustment is the process of properly aligning the vertebrae and restoring proper motion to the spine. There are a number of techniques that we can use to adjust the spine, so we will determine what technique will work best for your condition. If you are nervous about the “pops and cracks” commonly associated with an adjustment, there are techniques that we can use to make you more comfortable as well.
Unlike some chiropractic offices, our adjustments are specifically tailored to your exact problem. We take time to analyze your x-rays to determine exactly what areas of the spine need to be adjusted. We then take follow up x-rays after a period of treatment so that we can show that your spine has improved with treatment.

Spinal Decompression Therapy
The newest therapy that we have added to our office is spinal decompression. This is a specialized table that is able to stretch out the vertebrae of the lower back and help remove pressure from the discs between the vertebrae. This therapy is especially helpful for people that suffer from bulging or herniated discs or spinal degeneration (arthritis).
If you have bulging or degenerative discs in the lumbar spine (low back) and have not had success with other therapies, including adjustments, spinal decompression is a great option for you. We have had great results combining decompression with adjustments, and have been able to help patients that have not responded well to adjustments in the past. In addition to bulging discs, spinal decompression can also help with conditions such as facet syndrome, failed back surgery syndrome, sciatica and spinal stenosis.

Leg Length X-Ray
One of the most common causes of chronic lower back pain is pelvic tilt. This is when the pelvis shifts to one side causing one hip to be higher than the other. This tilting is often the cause of having an anatomic short leg.
Although adjustments can help with many cases of lower back pain caused by pelvic tilt, unfortunately, adjustments do not correct an anatomic short leg. A leg length x-ray is a precise x-ray that is used to measure the exact length of each leg.
Using information gained from this x-ray, we can determine how much of a problem is correctable with adjustments and whether or not a heel lift or orthotic is needed to correct a short leg. This allows an adjustment to “hold” for a longer amount of time, keeping patients feeling better for extended periods.

Cervical Decompression Therapy
After having great success helping patients that suffered from lower back issues with spinal decompression, we have added the Cervi-Trac attachment to the Back on Trac table. This allows us to better treat patients with neck conditions that had not responded as well to chiropractic adjustments alone. By applying a specialized stretch to the neck, cervical decompression is able to to remove pressure from the joints and discs in the cervical spine.
Conditions that cervical decompression can effectively treat include neck pain, cervical bulging or herniated discs, cervical stenosis and headaches. Combined with chiropractic adjustments, cervical decompression allows patients to respond quicker and get lasting results.
